Why do you wear this facemask?

Ali, ten years old, from the eastern countryside of Maarrat Al-Nuʻman.

I wear this facemask to protect myself from the coronavirus.

I fear that my parents could get infected. 

My dream is to go to the sea.

I fear that I could get infected with the coronavirus. I hate the darkness of the night. 

My dream is to get back to our house in the village from which we have been displaced.

My dream is to travel to Europe like my cousins.

I wear this facemask to protect myself from the coronavirus.

I wear a facemask so that the coronavirus does not enter into my mouth or my nose.

I fear that my friends could get sick!

I am afraid of the doctor’s needle. 

My dream is to get back to our village.
