Two years ago, the displaced children in the Rukban refugee camp, in southern Syria, used to gather in a tent to be educated by volunteer teachers.
Residents managed to get money to build a school from clay naming it Al-Hai Al-Tadmuri School (Tadmur District School), since the majority of displaced people who moved to the camp came from the city of Tadmur (also known as Palmyra).
Eleven teachers teach 400 students attending classes at the double-shift school.
