Despite the challenges and circumstances faced by Gaza City due to the unlawful closure, the blockade, and the high unemployment rate, smiles creep across the faces of all people there, including the children.
All enjoy the positive energy that helps them challenge such circumstances, something that the Director of UNDP’s Office in Gaza has clearly noticed.
“When I arrived in Gaza, I was positively shocked by the population’s ability to cope with and respond to crises. I was impressed by the ideas of young people and their enthusiasm to change, which goes against the idea I formerly had of the people of Gaza,” she said.
